Russia joins International Renewable Energy Agency

The Russian government has accepted the Energy Ministry’s proposal for Russia to join the International Renewable Energy Agency.The joining to the organization will give wide access to the practice of use of renewable energy sources and latest research results and allow participating in work on international standards and influencing the power engineering development in the world, the commentary note to the document said.

The International Renewable Energy Agency provides practical advice and support for both industrialized and developing countries, helps them improve their regulatory frameworks and build capacity. The agency facilitates access to all relevant information including reliable data on the potential of renewable energy, best practices, effective financial mechanisms and technological expertise.
