“Moscow must work on both increasing the city’s potential and protecting the environment. Under these conditions, a new approach is required for preserving the natural facilities of environmental protection,” he said. Mr Kulbachevsky noted that Moscow’s environmental performance needs constant improvement. This must become a priority for today and tomorrow. He said that the Government needs to balance the improvement of the environment in Moscow with the reasonable exploitation of natural resources.
Anton Kulbachevsky also stressed that it was necessary to restructure residential areas to make them more eco-friendly, expand green areas and change the balance between landfill waste and burning and recycling waste.
